Bless their subtle socks - Mogwai have announced the title of their 2011 album as being "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will". It's their seventh studio set and gets a release on 14th February and follows up 2008's excellent "The Hawk is Howling".

To celebrate (oh OK, and to promote) the new set of tracks, the Scottish post-rock quintet have announced a massive world-tour from February to May which, until now, didn't actually feature much of Scotland. This has now been rectified big time - the band is due to play five nights around the region, with a unique option of purchasing a 'season-ticket' entry to ALL five dates. You'll need a good map or the trust of the Gods on public-transport, but hey that's all part of the fun!

The nights will take place prior to their jaunt to Japan, starting with Stirling on 26th January, Paisley on 27th, Perth on 28th, Aberdeen on 29th and Glasgow on 30th. Tickets for all five will go on sale from Friday at various times, e.g. Glasgow is 10am, Perth is Midday etc and cost around £17.50.

However, there is also an option to purchase a limited amount of 'season-tickets' for £65 - this will allow admission to all five concerts, saving you around £3 per gig. OK you'll have to be pretty committed to see each one - nothing wrong with that - but you'll have to plan your route! This ticket also goes on sale on Friday - click on the "Season Ticket" button, below to check for availability from 10am onwards.
