Gatecrash the party! Top names added to Gatecrasher venues for autumn/ winter 2010

Gatecrasher

Yesterday, we launched our fantastic Delphic tickets competition which involves the simple process of clicking on the box at the foot of this feature, as part of a grand draw. Four lucky winners will then be selected to attend the band's Nottingham Gatecrasher gig on 1st November.

You've only got until Sunday 26th October to enter and, in the slightly amended words of a rave classic, if your names (and addresses) aren't down, you won't be getting in!

In addition to Delphic, the three different Gatecrashers all have other massive names confirmed for the next couple of months, so we thought we'd round up the best of them.

Gatecrasher Nottingham

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip

You can't go wrong with bouncy sample-ridden hip-hop and this duo does it rather well. Borrowing a chunk of Radiohead for your summer-anthem is almost sacrilege, but "Letter From God To Man" worked a treat. Their second album appeared in 2010 and a single featuring Kid A (hang on, another Radiohead connection!) called "Cauliflower" will appear this month. Tickets for their 28th October slot here are still available for £14.50.

Plump DJs

The excellent breakbeats and tech-house of DJ pair Lee Rous and Andy Garner, continue to rouse the sleepiest of clubbers and on 29th October they bring the magic formula to Nottingham. Tickets are £8.

Also coming up - Plump chums Stanton Warriors (22nd Oct - £8), 1Xtra's Mista Jam (25th Oct) and Professor Green (12th Nov - £8).

Note: the 19th November Grandmaster Flash gig has now been cancelled

Gatecrasher Birmingham

Ferry Corsten

He is the Dutch-master of trance and hard-trance and a constant feature in the Top 100 DJ Poll (2010's due to be announced quite soon I imagine - he is playing Sankey's Manchester on 27th Oct for the same magazine poll-night!). He will bring his "Once Upon A Night" tour to Birmingham on 4th December and tickets cost £15. The night also features a set by Marco V in support plus many more DJs on the night.

Roger Sanchez

You can't miss this iconic house and garage DJ on 23rd October (next weekend folks), especially when admission is only a tenner (plus the fees). The S Man has won Grammys and scored hits worldwide but is also a consummate DJ-ing legend alongside other New Yorkers David Morales and Danny Tenaglia. He released the ninth volume of the series "Release Yourself" earlier this year.

Gatecrasher Leeds

Pete Tong

As well as running their usual jam-packed club nights such as Arkade, Supersonic Vague and Deja Vu, Leeds Gatecrasher also house the Saturday Glasshouse phenomenon which celebrates its 14th birthday on 6th December. None other than the Essential Selection himself, Pete Tong, will be bringing the Ibiza and Miami vibe to the North-East that will also be filmed and streamed across LCD screens in the venue. Tickets are going to sell fast at £10.
