Katy Perry to push brand name for forthcoming California Dreams 2011 UK tour

Posted: 13 years ago

"She's getting married in the morning/ding dong..." etc etc. Well, she's nearly all wedded up to Russell Brand isn't she and after causing a minor controversy with Elmo on "Sesame Street" with a more than plunging neck-line, it seems she can't keep away from the gossip-pages (or the top of the charts, for that matter).

Perry fans will be delighted to learn that the future Mrs Brand is out on tour next year, armed with a few double-dates here and there. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 9am and are guaranteed to fly out, given her public profile right now. Her recent album "Teenage Dream" reached number one in seven countries and fittingly will see its 3rd single "Firework" released just prior to Guy Fawkes. After performing judging duties, Katy will be the other side of the judge's desk to perform live on next weekend's X Factor.

The tour begins in London at the Hammersmith Apollo on 17th/18th March and continues to Manchester (21st/22nd), Dublin (28th), Nottingham (30th), Bournemouth (31st), Cardiff (1st April), Newcastle (3rd) and finally Cardiff on the 4th, with lots of spare dates for that inevitable selling out of tickets. Prices range from £26-£28.50, depending on location.

Meanwhile to get you in the mood for Saturday and to prepare for her new single, the official still-life version of the "Firework" video is just above these words.
