We launched our newsletter last month in rather cool style (even if we do say so ourselves), with a competition that had a pair of tickets to see Gorillaz at the O2 Arena, as well as three copies of their 'Plastic Beach' and two copies each of Hurts and Everything Everything's debut albums.

Well, the results are now in, and we're glad to tell you that Mike Howman wins the pair of Gorillaz tickets as well as a copy of 'Plastic Beach', with the two runners-up: Louise Martin and Jamie O'Connell each getting a copy of 'Plastic Beach', 'Man Alive' by Everything Everything and 'Happiness' by Hurts.

Next: Neil Young and Tim Minchin competitions

Going out in tomorrow's newsletter is a competition to win a copy of Neil Young's latest opus 'Le Noise', produced by Daniel Lanois and recently awarded 3.5/5 by our very own Paul Pledger, who summed-up the album thusly:

Another vital chapter in old Shakey's priceless book of rock-music.

Thursday's arts and theatre newsletter will contain details of a Tim Minchin competition. If you're not yet signed-up, what are you waiting for - you have to be signed-up to win, as well as being able to stay abreast of the best UK events.
