Grab these tickets by The Greenhornes - psychedelic garage rockers to tour the UK, November 2010

The Greenhornes may be a new prospect, but the band has been around for some time - you may even have some music by one of the band-members, albeit with other line-ups altogether. Bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler have considerable rocking-chops, having been members of Jack White's The Raconteurs with Lawrence also part of The Dead Weather set-up, a guest on Loretta Lynn's 2004 album (also featuring Jack White) and an auto-harp player with Blanche.

The Greenhornes have also been busy themselves with a few studio albums and singles, the latest of which is due out in October. Entitled "****" (no, really - perhaps that's the mark they expect when being reviewed by us?), the album has a striking sleeve with a leopard grinning from ear to ear and is set to continue showcasing their bluesy garage-rock.

Live dates are inevitable, of course, and the band has announced a brace of dates during the autumn, starting with London's Cargo on 19th November, followed by Birmingham, Cardiff, York, Glasgow and Manchester. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £11-£13.50 plus fees. It's unlikely that the band will return quickly to the UK (unless the album breaks platinum) so make sure you catch this tight little unit.
