Espresso yourself - Lotte Mullan for free Caffe Nero October 2010 tour!

Posted: 13 years ago

Being a fan of dreadful puns, I can't help thinking that Caffe Nero's October Artist should call herself Latte Mullan, just for the month [ouch! - Ed]...OK, I'll get my coat.

In tangent with Starbucks, Nero are also committed to serving up new talent with your tall skinny flat espresso white cheeky chappycino (see, I know all about coffee, me) - for some time now, the coffee-shop chain has been promoting singer-songwriters and bands.

September's chosen crooner is Sumudu who has already toured several Nero cafes (Croydon, Piccadilly and Portsmouth Gunwharf to go), before she hands over the mantle to young Lotte. Husky-voiced singer Mullan extends beyond the usual strum-drum and happens to have a new album out as well. Called "Plain Jane", it appeared in August just after the single "Can't Find The Words" for which you can view the video right here.

She will perform at several Caffe Neros during October, squeezing in two per day, one at 12.30 the second at 7pm, starting with Chiswick Nero then Notting Hill Nero on Sunday 17th, Windsor and Oxford on 19th, around the country north and south, before hitting London again on the 28th at Piccadilly and Brompton Road.

All Caffe Nero tickets are free, but must be booked online and will be available from Monday 20th at 9am (they're also pretty limited, I imagine).

In addition, Lotte Mullan will play two supporting gigs at London's Monto Water Rats on 13th Oct (in support of Al Lewis - tickets are £6) and also Sheffield's Broadwalk supporting Ben Montague on 23rd November - £8 admission plus fees.
