Fresh out of the blocks for the third and final single from their album is MGMT, with the September release of the title track, "Congratulations" on the 27th. It's a rather more restrained side to the duo's usually bouncy fare, sounding not a million miles away from something Flaming Lips might deliver.

You can watch the clicking the "MGMT - Congratulations [video]" link in the sidebar, a woozy stumble through a steaming hot desert with a strange alien-like featherless bird (more dodo than vulture) for company, directed by Tom Kuntz. After watching this video, I certainly wouldn't let them near my shih tzus, I can tell you. They should definitely stick to music and leave the dog/alien-walking business to the professionals.

Their upcoming UK tour is certainly selling fast, with the three London dates on 29th Sep - 1st Oct now sold out, save for a few resale tickets for the first two. Birmingham has also sold out completely, the others are in short supply, but you can still get tickets for the Leeds concert on 27th Sep for £18.50 plus fees. Hurry!
