The Courteeners

Four years on and after a summer jaunt notably at the Glastonbury, T in the Park, iTunes and V festivals, Mancunian quartet The Courteeners are ready to "welcome" the winter with a tour of the UK.

The boys, championed by the mighty Morrissey since their early days, released their second album (a follow-up to their 2008 debut 'St Jude'), entitled 'Falcon', in February, and with the grand ambition to "Take over the World" (the title of the second single off 'Falcon', released in May), have announced a series of dates for December.

This will give all fans and curious cats the opportunity to figure out why the Northern foursome has struck lucky twice chart-wise with both their albums, respectively under the savvy production command of Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur) and Ed Buller (Pulp, Suede).

Liam Fray and his mates will play Leicester on 4th December, Glasgow on the 5th, London on the 7th and Leeds on the 8th, before completing their tour in hometown Manchester on the 10th.

The fan pre-sale starts at 9AM on Wednesday 1st September on their website www.thecourteeners.com, and the remaining tickets go on general sale on Friday 3rd September, at 9AM and will be available right here.
