Sister Act - The Musical
Sister Act - The Musical

You are probably aware that Whoopi Goldberg, the original heroine from the original 'Sister Act' film, is currently playing a different role in the London Palladium stage-show of the hit movie - the Mother Superior. However, the iconic actress will only appear in this production for another few weeks until 31st August (not 16th or 23rd) and tickets for these particular shows are selling like the proverbial hot muffins. Currently, most stalls have sold through, although one or two days such as Thursday 26th and Tuesday 31st (Whoopi's last day) still have £39.50 and £47.50 tickets left.

The London Palladium are now offering discounted best seats for post-Whoopi performances from 1st September until 15th October, Monday to Friday evening performances only.

Essentially, any £65 seat becomes £30 and £40.25 seats turn into £17.50, so if you are not fussed who plays the lead-role (and you should be, it's been Sheila Hancock before), this is an ideal value-ticket to see this vibrant comedy-musical that features Patina Miller as Deloris, the disco-diva put under police protection in a convent and Ian Lavender as Monsignor Howard.

Update: Whoopi's Back!

For just three nights (and a matinee), the original Sister, Whoopi Goldberg, is to revive her UK role as Mother Superior, between 22nd and 25th October 2010. Check the listings below for ticket availability, but note: they are selling fast!
