Monster Magnet set to attract attention for UK dates in autumn 2010

Posted: 13 years ago

It was around this time last year that heavy grunge-rock legends Monster Magnet visited these shores for their last tour (save for the odd date at the beginning of the summer). They have now announced a quartet of dates in support of a new album, due towards the end of the year.

The confirmed gigs begin with Sheffield on 20th November and continue to Southampton, Birmingham and London on the 26th. Tickets have just gone on sale and are priced at £16 - £18.50, depending on location.

David Wyndorf and co have been busy working on material and, according to their Wikipedia page, should have an album out later this year entitled "Mastermind", released on the SPV-offshoot, Napalm Records. During a recent interview on Metal Injection, original member Ed Mundell hinted that the new album would be 'space-rock'-influenced mixed with a 'bit of Stooges'. 15 tracks of full-on rock and plenty of guitars is also promised.
