Oh yes indeed - that 'albums' is deliberate and not a plural mis-print, Scotland's purveyors of post-rock do indeed have two albums planned for release over the next couple of months, beginning with "Special Moves", a live album recorded and compiled from shows in Brooklyn.

The package includes a CD / DVD version which includes the recently-premiered Mogwai live film, "Burning", also compiled from the same concerts last year. CD Tracks include "I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead", "Hunted BY A Freak" and "Like Herod", while the vinyl LP version features 6 extra tracks which include "New Paths To Helicon Part 1", which is also available as a free download at www.mogwai.co.uk until mid-August, where you can also grab a glimpse of what "Special Moves" will look like upon release - it's a nifty design.

The second album is a new studio album planned for release in 2011, which brings us nicely to their tour next year. The band will play 10 dates starting in Bournemouth on 17th February and continuing to Bristol, Oxford, Brixton and finishing in Gateshead on 27th February. Tickets go on sale at 9am Saturday and will cost around £20 (£22.50 for London). Demand will be high.
