There they were, all gigged-up and raring to go, until some bright spark pulled the plug on two shows in Glasgow (due to be 8th Sep) and Newcastle (due to be 11th Sep). The other September dates (London, Manchester, Birmingham and Dublin) have now been moved to November - something which hasn't gone down too well with their fans, it has to be said. Still, the new locations might just be jumping up and down with glee. The remaining locations have been tweaked to fit in with Gorillaz' first world tour in November, "Escape to Plastic Beach" - this means no more September dates, they have all, with the exception of Glasgow and Newcastle, been shifted to November.
Tickets for the original dates will still be valid with the usual refund rules applicable to the cancelled gigs.
The UK and Ireland schedule now reads as Dublin (11th November), Manchester (12th), London O2 (14th / 16th), Birmingham (17th) and a new date in Brighton at the Brighton Centre (18th). All tickets are available to buy now except Brighton which goes on sale Friday, with prices starting at £45 (59.80 - Dublin).
