The inventive indie-fusion band should be kicking back and enjoying the fruits of their labour, right now, but it seems someone is after a piece of their small pie. Vampire Weekend are in the middle of a tricky court-case and being clobbered for $2 million for an image-problem, that is, the image used on the front of their recent album "Contra".

Still, it can't detract from the fact it's a pretty good album, but you already know this - and you may already know that the New-Yorkers are back in the UK towards Christmas, beginning with Blackpool on the 25th November and continuing with Wolverhampton (26th), Edinburgh (28th), Sheffield (29th), Brighton (1st Dec) and finally London's Alexandra Palace on the 2nd. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £22.50 and represents Vampire Weekend's biggest dates yet, such is their spreading fanbase.

The band have thrilled many fans at festivals during the summer - Latitude, Benicassim, Oxegen and T In The Park have all benefitted from their funky African-flavoured rock-sounds, which you can hear on their upcoming single "White Sky", due out prior to the tour.
