Mystery Jets

It's been a long journey from Eel Pie Island to thousands of bedrooms, but spangly rock-outfit Mystery Jets have achieved just that with their 3rd album "Serotonin", released last week. Although it hasn't cracked the Top 40, they have garnered eager reviews with this accomplished set of songs, not least for the upcoming new single "Dreaming of Another World". Have a watch of the jolly video (complete with a spot of daft 'Dad-dancing' near the beginning). Previous single "Flash a Hungry Smile" was a free download - this is the real deal, a proper poke at the radio-stations.

Warning - It starts quietly then booms out a bit (just in case you do what I did upon first watching it, almost resulting in my cochlea exploding!).

So, you're an eager young band and you've got an armful of new songs to show off - you go on tour, right? Of course you do, which is just what Mystery Jets will be up to during the autumn. So far ten dates have been confirmed in Manchester on 22nd October, Sheffield (23rd), Cambridge (25th), Leeds on 26th (they recently played a secret gig there),Liverpool on Hallowe'en, Birmingham (5th Nov), Nottingham (6th), Bristol (9th), down on the beach at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on the 10th and finally the Roundhouse on 11th November.

Tickets are on sale from Friday 16th July, priced at around £12.50 plus extras.
