Elliot Minor set to play major dates - UK tour confirmed for September 2010

Posted: 13 years ago

They play rock, they incorporate pop, they borrow from the world of classical and they've been together for a decade - a decade? 'Tis true - Elliot Minor chose My Space as their springboard, before winning a competition on said networking-site to play as support to McFly on their 'Greatest Hits Tour'. Soon after, they racked up a handful of Top 40 single successes before going independent, beefing-up their sound and releasing the all-grown-up album "Solaris" towards the end of 2009. They have obviously heard a few Muse albums in their time, but to be fair, they've written some songs rather than just opt to sound like every other 'screamo' band.

They will embark on a September tour, to follow up their July tour (they play Sheffield tomorrow night then Durham, Liverpool and Oxford - see below) and also in support of another single from the album, "I Believe" and further "Solaris"-type activity. They kick off in Norwich on 8th September and continue on to Nottingham (9th), York (10th), Manchester (11th), Huddersfield (15th), Newcastle (16th), Edinburgh (17th), Aberdeen (18th), Islington (23rd), Birmingham (24th), Dublin (25th) and finally Belfast (26th). Tickets are on sale now, priced at around £10 plus fees (even the London date!).

If you haven't heard them before, check out the official video to that new single and click below for tickets (don't forget the tail-end of their July tour).
