Easy now! Classic rock becomes classic dub with Easy Star All-Stars 2010 UK dates

Easy Star All-Stars

Initially treated as a bit of a novelty after their debut release, the Easy Star All-Stars have progressed considerably since the days of "Dub Side of The Moon", their gloriously dubbed-out, chilled-out reworking of the Pink Floyd classic album. Their next target was Radiohead in 2006 with the "Radiodread" project, an album that seemed to install a new level of emotion to Thom Yorke's "OK Computer" creations. Guest vocalists included Horace Andy ("Airbag") and Toots and the Maytals ("Let Down") and it proved a worthy and respectful tribute.

Their most recent conversion-job has been on the Beatles' "Sgt Peppers" album, entitled "Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band". Once again updated with new vocalists (Luciano and Mighty Diamonds being two of the contributors), the New-York based dub-covers band have refreshed other albums other bands daren't touch.

They have a welter of festival slots and concerts coming up, including Larmer Tree next weekend (15th), Big Chill (7th Aug) and Cropredy (14th Aug) as well as a few new dates which are in October in Bridport (16th), Gloucester (17th), Cork (22nd), Dublin (23rd), Reading (28th) and Norwich (31st) - tickets cost £16 plus fees, as are the tickets on sale for their preceding headline gigs in August, check below for details.
