Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip take Great Britain on the road around Great Britain for October 2010 tour

Posted: 13 years ago

The crazy world of Le Sac and The Pip sounds like a possible kids' book, but there is nothing childish about this pair's recent activities. Their recent album "The Logic Of Chance" garnered keen reviews and a Top 50 album placing, not bad for a duo who rarely get on the radio.

One of the catchiest little tracks on it is "Great Britain", issued as a single back in May and supported by a fan-remix competition via their website. You can listen to oodles of remixes, including the winner by 'Mozza' (NOT the "Suedehead" MAN) at their Soundcloud page - the winning mix is a cheeky little tinker full of minimal twitches and a nice fidgety rhythm and you can hear it right here (it will also take you to their Soundcloud page).

Naturally, you'd rather see the duo in their usual guise - live on stage spitting social and conscious wit and wisdom. Luckily, the boys have announced a tour for the autumn - tickets are on sale now and cost £14.50 plus fees.

The nights begin on 16th October at Birmingham's Institute, followed by Bristol (17th), Cardiff (19th), Newcastle (21st), Manchester (26th), Sheffield (27th), Nottingham (28th) and finally Southampton on the 30th. Definitely a worthy hip-hop act to witness, an anarchic melange of rough beats and gaw-blimey vocals, mixed with a dash of humour and a thought-provoking overtone.
