Kasabian

Big news for fans of Kasabian who can't make a festival this year to see them - the Leicester quintet have announced a London warm-up show, just prior to headlining V Festival. They will play Brixton Academy on 19th August with tickets going on sale on Friday 7th July. £27.50 plus fees, is the asking price.

After the huge success of their last album "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum", the lads have been gathering awards for Best British Group (BRITS), Best Album (NME and Q Magazine) and Best Song ("Fire" - MOJO), as well as earning big slots at T In The Park (next weekend, folks), Belsonic in Belfast and, of course, the V Festival weekend. They have also achieved pride of place at a few European festivals later in the summer - Benacassim being a major attraction.

The band's last release was the single "Vlad the Impaler" earlier in the year but, if the rumours are true, then the band are already working on new material for their 4th album (due in 2011).
