Please allgigs, can we have some more discounts? Oliver! West End ticket offer: June - July 2010
Posted: 18th June 2010
One of the most charming and long-running family musicals is undoubtedly "Oliver!", the story of an orphaned boy who dares to ask for more gruel (porridge slops, basically) and gets himself punished. Eventually he escapes the dreadful work-house and bumps into the Artful Dodger (no, not the garage-music producer) and a friendship and life at Fagin's begins. Despite being surrounded by petty-thieves, he is looked after initially until the terrifying Bill Sykes arrives on the scene.
Packed with great songs such as "Food Glorious Food", "Consider Yourself", "I'd Do Anything" and "You've Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two", the current West-End performance stars the inimitable Russ Abbot as Fagin, new to the role since the departure of Griff Rhys-Jones at the Drury Lane theatre, but not a stranger to the role (he played Fagin at the London Palladium run).
Discounted tickets are valid for performances at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane from June 21st until July 23rd, not including Saturdays and Sundays, with the option of Wednesday matinee bookings. Ticket prices are now just £17.50 (instead of £25) for balcony seats. However, there is a very limited supply of Top Seats for Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd costing just £39.50 instead of £65 - but you'll have to hurry and click on the "Offer" buttons below to take advantage.
