Ozzy rewards British fans with Ozzfest 2010 at the O2 - line up and tickets just announced!

Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne must have amazing hearing - aside from setting a new world record for the longest, loudest scream by an audience (at an LA Dodgers game recently), he must have been reading the forums on his websites and cocking an ear in the direction of Blighty. The fans over here have shouted and they have been heard. Hold onto your belts, people, because Ozzfest is back! That's right, the diminutive rock-legend has announced ONE date at London's O2 Arena on 18th September with a pretty tasty line-up to boot.

Basically, the whole O2 arena area will become a 'Village of the Damned' with fairground attractions, loads of stalls and some tattooists for the brave. But you'd rather know who will raise the roof, right? Apart from Ozzy himself, Korn, Murderdolls and Skindred will provide support good enough to make this a day to remember. C'mon, KORN!

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (the 18th). Spread the word.

Ozzy's new album comes out on the 21st June with the single (also called "Scream") reaching #2 in the States. His two forthcoming warm-up dates in the UK have all but sold out, although there are a few left (above face-value) on our trusted agent's (click below) and Birmingham-dwellers have something to scream about: Ozzy will be playing an album launch date at the Town Hall on 26th June. Tickets are £35 on sale now from the Town Hall website (www.thsh.co.uk), with the chance of grabbing free tickets at Ozzy's in-store album launch/ signing session at the HMV Birmingham High Street store on the same day (400 wristbands will be available at the shop from 8am on 26th June).

Of course it's been nearly 10 years since an Ozzfest in the UK and, apart from the excellent Korn, he has invited the recently reformed Murderdolls to perform material from an upcoming new album ("Women and Children Last") as well as hefty funk-metal band Skindred.

Good luck on Friday morning!
