Tim Finn announces one-off London Scala date for August 2010 - will he play to a Crowded House?

Crowded House

Previously one-half of the Finn Brothers, one-fifth of Crowded House and one-third of the earlier Split Enz, you could be forgiven for thinking Tim Finn is a fraction of the man he used to be, but he is very much 100% again with the announcement of a sole London date at the city's Scala venue on Sunday 8th August. Tickets are available now, priced at £18.50 plus fees.

Tim has certainly had a varied and chequered career, yielding considerable homeland support for his first band Split Enz, before appearing on Crowded House's breakthrough album "Woodface" in 1991. But his solo work, including the minor hits "Persuasion", "How'm I Gonna Sleep" and the album "Before and After", were also worthy pieces of work, just unsuitable for our picky radio-stations in the early 90s.

In 2009, Capitol released a long-awaited anthology that covers his work with the aforementioned bands and solo material alike, as well his fruitful partnership with brother Neil (as the Finn Brothers, amazingly). His previous solo album was 2008's "The Conversation".
