It's hard to believe it but Good Charlotte will soon be entering their 15th year as a band and, despite some wrangles along the way, are still up and running. Their big moment eventually arrived in 2002 with the huge single "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", followed by "The Anthem", "Girls and Boys" and the album "The Young and the Hopeless" in 2003.
Two more albums followed and all seemed well, until last year when the band decided to shelve recordings planned for their fifth album, "Cardiology", opting to start all over again. Finally, it seems a change of producer is all that was needed - the new set of songs is due to be released in September.
Meanwhile the spiky quintet are set to play a one-off date in London this summer and it's going to be a monster. Set your watches, click on your calendars and open your organizers - the date is Tuesday 27th July, the place is KOKO in North London and the price is £17.50 plus fees.
Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday - it's going to be a warm one.
