Featuring recordings made between the landmark 'Electric Ladyland' double album and 'First Rays of the New Rising Sun', 'Valleys of Neptune' is a collection of unreleased and previously un-finished recordings of blues-rock master Jimi Hendrix, released with the blessing of the Hendrix estate.

The twelve track album was produced by long-time Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer, released in March via Sony. Allgigs reviewer Peter Innes was smitten, awarding the album 4 stars, commenting:

Valleys of Neptune probably ain't entry level for new starters, but thankfully, it'll be there when folks are ready to catch up, years from now. This September, it'll be forty long years since Jimi died, aged only 28 - James Marshall Hendrix - he's still the Voodoo Chile, still the Magic Boy.
