The Nightmare Before Christmas

We recently announced the curators of the second ATP weekender in December (Belle and Sebastian - 10th to 12th Dec) - it is now time to unveil the final weekender curators for 2010's 10th anniversary bash, the annual 'Nightmare Before Xmas'. Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding for the reformation of Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

The legendary post-rock noise merchants will perform every night for their weekend which runs from 3rd to 5th Dec, as well as being given the task to assemble the remaining entertainment. Curiously (or admirably, depending on your point of view) the band will not be doing any interviews or fielding any more questions about the involvement with ATP and just want to "...do the thing we do, heads down and leaned into the squall". Making a deliciously beautiful racket, we hope. They 'sort-of' split up in 2003, so relish this chance to see them again! [they've also announced their intention to add a few more UK/ Euro dates for 2010... watch this space! - Ed]

Other confirmed performers include US-psychedelia septet Bardo Pond, Dutch-anarchists The Ex, the uncategorizable Deerhoof, fellow Canadian electronic artist Tim Hecker, English singer-songwriter minimalist Scout Niblett and Minutemen/ Firehose front-man Mike Watt.

Tickets are on sale now and cost from £310 for a 2-Berth Double (so effectively £155 each) - the Early Birds have flown the roost already!

In addition to the weekend events, there is the small matter of 'In Between Days', a kind-of, well, inbetween-the-other-two-weekender type of festival. This year's will run from 6th - 9th December and we will have more on this as soon as announcements are made.
