Whitney Houston postpones Manchester and Glasgow 2010 gigs

Posted: 14 years ago

American diva Whitney Houston yesterday announced the postponement of her forthcoming Manchester and Glasgow dates, the Manchester leg of which was due to commence tonight, 8th April.

The singer, who is in a Paris hospital, has a respiratory infection which has caused the postponement of her first European dates. The three UK dates affected are tonight and tomorrow's Manchester Evening News Arena dates and 11th April Glasgow SECC date, which have now been moved to 1st May for the SECC and 16th (moved from 8th April) and 17th May (moved from 9th April) for the Manchester gigs.

The singer has enjoyed a renaissance since sorting herself out in 2009 and with the success of recent album 'I Look To You' - her fastest-selling album in the UK, which has gone multi-platinum.

Ticket holders are advised to hold-tight and wait until May (tickets remain valid), or obtain a refund from their point of purchase.

With the exception of the 25th April O2 Arena date which has sold-out, all other dates have a few tickets available for purchase, starting from £75 or €76.25.
