Good old ATP - rather than have just one event to celebrate their ten years of expertly-curated weekenders, they have a whole bloomin' year of them including the Pavement and Matt Groening shindigs coming up in May.
The year will be rounded off with two December weekenders, the second of which will be curated by the band who steered the very first ATP (then called The Bowlie) in Minehead in 1999. The seven-piece Glaswegian outfit will naturally play a slot themselves along with the druid of rock, Mr Julian Cope, Cobain-endorsed Edinburgh indie legends The Vaselines, the excellent Field Music plus Frightened Rabbit, Howlin Rain and Those Dancing Days. More names will be announced in due course, as well as the curator(s) of the first December ATP bash.
This weekend entitled 'Bowlie 2' will run from 10th to the 12th December and tickets are on sale now, but note that many of the 2 and 3 berth rooms are now sold-out, with the cheapest currently available being a 2 berth twin (room only) from £330, self catering rooms are available for 4-and-upwards, starting at £700 + fees.
We will keep you posted with other ATP news (expected on 9th April).
