The Paddingtons have their sights on a Lady Boy in April 2010 - no April fool!

Posted: 14 years ago

Two years have passed since The Paddingtons' second album, 'No Mundane Options' was released.

No doubt the Hull-dwelling indie punk quintet has steered clear from anything secular in that period of time, going by the title of their imminent EP, 'The Lady Boy E.P' (God knows what they've been up to...), slated for 12th April, and which will be available on iTunes and on limited edition 10" vinyl. The title track, 'Lady Boy', was co-written by and features ex-Moldy Peaches frontman, Adam Green.

The band has also announced that "every Monday leading up to the release of EP, a video for each song shall be put online" ... Starting with 'Walking in the Rain', which can be seen on their website (www.thepaddingtons.net - soon to undergo a much-needed makeover) as well as on their Myspace page.

As the live-performance-addled creatures that they are, the boys will support the release with a dozen shows across the UK throughout April, kicking off at the Head of Steam in Newcastle on 1st, via the cities of Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester, their hometown Hull on the 9th , Leeds, London (at the Islington O2 Academy on the 11th) and Stockton, before terminating in Nottingham on the 24th.

Prior to that, they'll be playing the Starka in Motherwell and the Edinburgh Haddow Fest 2010, respectively this Saturday 27th March and Sunday 28th March.

Tickets for the Paddingtons' 'Lady Boy' tour are on sale now, all for under a tenner. Get in!
