Paul Weller

The Ex-Style Council and Jam man is Back. Weller Weller Weller - tell me more I hear you say (in my crazed head). Well here goes: Legendary mod-rocker and all round living icon Paul Weller has announced a mammoth tour for the UK and Ireland spread over November and December of this year to add to his summer of festival appearances and Royal Albert Hall gigs.

It is set to be another great year for Weller as April sees the release of his tenth studio album in his eighteen year solo career. Much buzz has already been surrounding 'Wake Up the Nation' and the work-hungry Woking wonder is showcasing it with shows over five consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London (May 24th - May 28th) as well as appearances at Cork City's Marquee Festival and Co. Donegal's Bundoran Sea Sessions before hitting The V Festival for shows in Chelmsford (21st August) and Stafford (22nd August).

Phew, I'm tired just reading this but there's more. Mr Weller then kicks-off his Winter 2010 'Wake Up the Nation' tour, hitting Dublin's Olympia Theatre for five consecutive nights between 16th-20th November before returning to England for thirteen shows, starting with a double-header at the Brighton Centre (23rd & 24th November) before skipping around Birmingham, Glasgow, Sheffield and many more top cities before he finishes up at the Wembley Arena, London on December 10th.

Then we can all safely say he deserves a big Christmas break. Tickets for the festival dates and The Albert Hall shows are on sale now [V Festival now sold-out, few balcony tickets remaining for Royal Albert Hall - Ed] and tickets for the UK leg of the tour are on sale now, priced at £35, with the Ireland dates going on sale this Friday at 9AM, starting at €44.20.
