Mock The Week regular Russell Howard has announced a UK tour for 2011 - 'Right Here, Right Now' - and before you think, 'yeah whatever, I'll buy 'em next week', think again - this dude's putting himself about a bit and represents the rational side of the current comedy scene. He might not be as vapid as Frankie Boyle or as painfully sneery as Hugh Dennis but that's part of his charm. His recent TV series 'Russell Howard's Good News' has returned for a second series and all looks good for the West Country live-wire.
His tour next year kicks off in Cardiff on 1st Feb and continues on to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, The O2, Newcastle, Belfast, Aberdeen and finally Glasgow on the 5th March. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Weds 24th March) at 9AM and start from around £25.
His last tour was called 'Big Rooms and Belly Laughs' and sold like the proverbial hot cakes. More recently he took part in the 2010 Sport Relief Million Pound Bike Ride from John O Groats to Land's End in four days, one of many charity events he has attended over the years - BBC3 not included!
