Grandmaster Flash

"Classic Party and Dance Tracks" is what it says on the cover, and that is pretty-much what you get with 'Push It!', which takes its name from the classic Salt N Pepa 80 crossover hit - featured on the album of course.

Released on 15th February, Push It! features forty four tracks across two disks, featuring the likes of Beastie Boys (Fight for your Right), Sugar Hill Gang (Rapper's Delight), Deee Lite (Groove is in the Heart), Bobby Brown (Two can play that Game), Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel (White Lines), Shannon's 'Let the Music Play' and the groove-tastic 'Last Night a DJ Saved My Life' by Indeep.

So, we have a fair mixture of 80s and 90s tracks, including the recently-revived (courtesy of Jedward) Vanilla Ice. Other notable songs include original rock/ rap crossover 'Walk this Way' by Run DMC and Aerosmith, Color Me Badd's 'I Wanna Sex you up' and the recently-covered-by-Dizzee-track: 'Dirty Cash' by the Adventures of Stevie V.

The album is out now, costing around £12 for the CD and just under £9 for a download.
