Kings of Leon Announce First UK Date of 2010 at Hyde Park

Kings of Leon

The Followill brothers (and cousin), otherwise known as Kings of Leon, haven't played in the UK since last summer's Leeds Festival but they are about to put that right with the announcement of their first UK date of the year - and it's a whopper!

London's Hyde Park will play host to a headline gig from the boys on June 30th and tickets will go on sale on Friday Feb 19th at 9am. This performance will form part of the Hard Rock Calling 2010 Festival series that already has Pearl Jam and Wolfmother scaring the swans half to death!

Oddly, the band was not nominated for anything at the BRITS this year, International-wise of course, but they have recently picked up a Record of the Year award at the Grammys for the song, 'Use Somebody'. Despite dissing the lack of noise during the Reading Festival last year, they found the Leeds experience far more exciting and louder during their set - hey they love us really. Make sure you scream your head off in Hyde Park then or you may just taste the wrath of the band again! A new album is expected before the year is out and no doubt a few new songs will creep into the set in June.
