JLS

Another fresh week and plenty of just-as-fresh new tickets have gone on sale today. Those 'Jack-The-Lad-Swingers', JLS, may just have some longevity if their recent dates are anything to go by and their future ones for that matter. Early 2010 dates, A Teenage Cancer Trust gig at the Royal Albert Hall on March 28th, a hefty arena tour of the Winter (see the dates below) and now, to fill the gap between the two, a summer trio of bump-and-grind performances to add to a few previously announced open-air, country-park style events.

JLS

The new JLS dates take in Exeter's Escot Park on July 17th, Peterborough's Embankment on the 18th and Margate's Quex Park on the 19th. All tickets cost £28.50 with the option of buying car-parking space for a fiver (not Peterborough). The lads have been nominated for Best British Breakthrough and Best Single at the Brits - yes, it's this week - and they have a new single called 'One Shot', the one from the album that sounds like hands-in-the-air-gimme-the-lasers - it gets released on Feb 22nd.

Example, alias one Elliot John Gleave, seems to have committed the rest of his days to touring, having confirmed dozens of dates between now and June. Gigs for between April 29th (Middlesborough)and May 16th (Bournemouth) are now on sale, many priced at a tenner or less! Bargain! His recent single, 'Won't Go Quietly' notched up his first Top 10 placing and allgigs reviewer Patrick warmed to its infectious leaps and bounds, giving it 4 stars.

Justin Currie

Also out today is Justin Currie, the ex-Del Amitri singer, who has two whoppers upcoming at the O2 Academy in Sheffield (May 21st) and Shepherd's Bush (May 25th), prices are around £17.50. He also has a Manchester date available for May 17th!
