Samantha Fox Wants You to Touch Her on 2010 UK Tour

Posted: 14 years ago

Bet you thought you would never see a Page 3 girl on allgigs eh? It's OK, decency-fans, we won't actually print the pictures, but rather we will tell you about legendary model and TV personality, Samantha Fox's new UK tour. It's called the (ahem) 'Touch Me Again Tour' and will feature the pint-sized pixie with a full band plus support (stop giggling at the back), performing her classics (she racked up 9 top 40 hits over a 12 year period) and her favourites. [did he just say 'rack'? - Ed]

Tickets seem to be going on sale at differing times depending on the venue - we have the first two below with the Inverness date on sale now and the Newcastle fixture on sale from midday tomorrow, Feb 10th. Prices vary between £28 to £30 plus the usual extras. I reckon she will pull in a decent crowd - so snap them up quick.

The full list of confirmed dates begin with May 9th in Edinburgh (Usher Hall) then in Perth (10th - Concert Hall), Glasgow (11th - Royal Concert Hall), Inverness (14th - Ironworks), Bradford (15th - Georges Hall), Wolverhampton (17th - Civic Hall), Rhyl (18th - Pavilion), Swindon (20th - Oasis), Birmingham (21st - Town Hall), Newcastle (22nd - Town Hall), Ipswich (24th - Corn Exchange), Croydon (25th - Fairfield Halls), Portsmouth (26th - Guildhall), Hammersmith Apollo (27th), Manchester (28th - Opera House), Worthing (30th - Assembly Hall), Southampton (June 1st - Guildhall) and finally Liverpool's Philharmonic Halls on June 2nd. More links will appear on this very page, as and when tickets are made available.

The Foxy lady has been an icon of sorts since her modeling days in the 80s, opting to embark on a music career which lasted a damn sight longer than most X-Factor type celebs do these days. Her hits include 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)', 'Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)', 'I Surrender (To The Spirit Of The Night)', 'Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)' and (what a title) '(Hurt Me, Hurt Me) But The Pants Stay On'. Blimey, her songs have more brackets than an IKEA shelving system - the button on my PC (is all but buggered now). Her TV appearances have been the usual 'Celebreality' (see what I did there?) shows including '.....Get Me Out Of Here'.

Last year, a double-disc 'Greatest Hits' album was unleashed that included a remake of 'Touch Me'. And, no, I didn't get a copy - our editor grabbed the upfront (sorry...) promo release for himself.
