English National Opera

'The Elixir Of Love' is a romantic opera written by Donizetti and concerns a young mechanic's broken heart and his reliance on a travelling salesman to cure it (with the elixir). Our Hero believes that the salesman has sold him a remarkable product, one that will give him courage to convince the love of his love, the aloof Adina (who is already proposing to marry someone else), to come away with him. Unfortunately he has been sold a bottle of wine and is told it won't take effect until the following day. (Doesn't sound like decent wine to me - normally takes me half a bottle to feel better and normally immediately). I digress -this is a classic opera and one you should see.

In this ENO production at the London Coliseum, tenor John Tessier plays the lead role of Nemorino and you can enjoy this successful opera for either £15 (was £34) or £25 (was up to £77). Correct me if I'm wrong but that is a stone-wall no-brainer. The offer ends on March 23rd and covers all performances whilst tickets last.
