Deadmau5 has just announced extra UK dates to join his trio of London dates in Spring 2010.

The rising star of progressive house - AKA multi award-winning, slightly screwy, but very musical and groovy Canadian - Joel Zimmerman has just doubled the number of UK dates for this Spring, adding dates in Glasgow, Hull and Liverpool this May, joining his existing back-to-back threesome of dates in London's Brixton Academy between 30th April and 2nd May.

Tickets for the new dates will cost £20 + booking fee and go on sale this Friday (29th January) at 9AM. There are still a few tickets available for his London dates, but 30th April has now sold-out.

Also announced is Play Records' 'Deadmau5 at Play vol. 2', following in the footsteps of at Play vol.1, featuring a few of Play's hidden gems, given the Deadmau5 treatment, including: Billy Newton-Davis' 'Outta My Life', Mellefresh's top 10 'Attention Whore' (you've got to love the lyrics of that one!), the BSOD track 'This Is Also The Hook' and seven others, in full length DJ-friendly format.

Vol. 2 is released in the UK on 22nd March - you can have a sneaky peak at the tracks here: www.playrecords.net/blog/deadmau5-at-play-vol-2.html .

Talking of the mouse at play, Deadmau5 is a very active Facebook-er and Twitterer, check his shenanigans here: www.twitter.com/deadmau5 and here www.facebook.com/deadmau5/

If you're new to the house of the mouse, then head over to www.deadmau5.com and check out the eclectic mix that is recent studio album 'For Lack of a Better Name' (top tracks IMO: Strobe, FML and Ghosts 'n Stuff feat. Rob Swire). In fact, 'Strobe' has been the soundtrack to this article.
