It's time to dust off them maracas and get your finest dancing gear on and head to the capital 'cos the London Latin Music Festival is back for it's tenth year. That's right folks, its....La Linea 2010.

The celebration of all things musical and Latin-y runs from April 22nd- April 30th and has the usual mix of music for Latin lovers of all types, including the legendary wonder of Kid Creole and the Coconuts who kick the festival off at the Barbican Hall as well as Scotland's Salsa Celtica, Machaca, Argentinian singer/ songwriter Kevin Johansen and cohort (cartoonist) Liniers, Spanish singer Amparo Sanchez (who appeared in Spanish Bombs - A Tropical Tribute to the Clash in last year's festival) and Mariachi El Bronx [the Mariachi version of harcode punkers 'The Bronx' to the uninitiated - Ed] among others in venues including the Barbican, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Jazz Cafe so it promises to be a soulful mix of salsa, mariachi and charanga and gosh knows what else.

Full information on performers, venues and ticket purchase information can be found below this article. Just click the links, it'll get your fingers into good stead for all the snapping they'll be doing to the music. Tickets start from a pocket-friendly £12 for the Jazz Café and Queen Elizabeth Hall dates.

And just as a final note in case anyone was worrying - faux Latin fool Ricky Martin will not be part of the proceedings. So you can all enjoy living La Vida Loca, without the pain of having to hear him sing it. Incentive much?
