Idlewild for March 2010 mini UK tour

Posted: 14 years ago

Adding on to an already promising 2010 gig calendar, Scottish indie rock quintet Idlewild, fronted by the vocally-gifted Roddy Woomble, have announced a series of shows in support of their sixth studio album, 'Post Electric Blues', which the band had originally self-released to 3,000 devoted fans back in June before it was traditionally released on Cooking Vinyl records in October.

The five-piece will play five dates in March '10, starting with Bristol Thekla on the 3rd, then Gloucester Guildhall on the 4th, Brighton Concorde 2 on the 9th, Liverpool Barfly/Masque on the 11th, finishing at Preston 53 Degrees (University of Central Lancashire) on the 12th.

In a recent interview, guitarist Rod Jones deemed 'Post Electric Blues' to have "quite an upbeat musical feel" and to sound "like a band having a good time"...You be the judge of that on and off record!

In the meantime, be aware that tickets are already on sale and cost £15.00 (+booking fee).
