Not content with 'just' seventy dates as part of his 'Tour that Doesn't Tour' - on tour or otherwise, Peter Kay has just announced that he'll finish the tour, back where it started, at the Manchester Evening News Arena in September/ October 2011.

I'm not sure what name that gives the last leg, but what I do know is that seventy five Arena dates is mightily impressive, with the last five being between 27th September and 1st October 2011.

He also (finally) announced a full quintet of dates in Dublin, meaning that the "Tour" part of the "non-touring" tour (!) has five dates in each of: Newcastle, Cardiff, Sheffield, Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, with London enjoy a double-dose of five dates in November 2010 and March/ April 2011.

Speaking of the new Manchester dates, Peter Kay said:

Initially I was very apprehensive about putting just four nights of stand-up on sale and now I'm on tour for eighteen months, but if people are happy to come, then I'm more than happy to do my best and give them a fantastic night to remember. Returning to Manchester brings the whole thing to a close for me and allows me to finish off back home.

The new Dublin O2 Arena date (2nd May) went on sale this morning, priced at €44.20. The Manchester dates go on sale tomorrow (Saturday 19th December) at 10AM. Please be patient, as ticket agents will be snowed-under (excuse the pun). If you turn-up much after 10AM, don't expect to come away with a ticket - don't say we didn't warn you!

Update: Sat 19th Dec 10:25AM - more new dates and ticket problems!!!

An extra three dates have now been added for Peter Kay's Manchester Evening News Arena for 4th to 6th October 2011. Also: one of our ticket agents had a few ticketing problems meaning that for around 20 mins this morning, it was not possible to purchase tickets - we're sorry about that, but everything seems to be working fine now.

Tickets for 27th, 29th, 30th September and 1st October are now sold-out, but there are still some for 28th and the newly added October 2011 dates.

Update: Liverpool 25th April 2011 - last few tickets remaining

With the exception of the new dates, the entire tour is sold-out - apart from one! As previously announced, there were a handful of new/ returned tickets for most of the "touring venues". Well, now the only date remaining with tickets available at face value is in Liverpool's Echo Arena on 25th April where there are a few available on the Arena Floor, Upper and Lower Tiers, priced at £35 + booking fee... get in quick, as they'll soon be gone!
