As it has traditionally done for the past three/four decades, the now defunct weekly music TV program, Top of The Tops, will resurrect this year for two special broadcasts on BBC1 on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Both specials boast a stellar mix and match line-up of institutional acts and up-and-coming acts, in Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, Lily Allen, JLS, Alexandra Burke, La Roux, Sugababes, Florence and the Machine, Diversity and Muse, sharing the spotlight on 25 December (2.00-3.00pm), and Robbie Williams, Shakira, Tinchy Stryder featuring N-Dubz and Calvin Harris on 31 December (6.30-7.30pm).

The two specials will be presented by BBC Radio 1 hip presenters, Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, with a couple of repeats on Red Button (3.00-4.00pm on Christmas Day; 8.30-9.30pm on New Year's Eve) and BBC3 (8.00pm-9.00pm on Christmas Day; 3.00-4.00am on New Year's Day).

We thought we'd let you in case you've have no better entertainment on these dates.

Otherwise, on Saturday 2nd January 2010, during his three-hour radio show (4.00-7.00pm), Reggie Yates, will play some live performance tracks taken from both TOTP television shows, as well as backstage features and gossip, and this year's final number one single.
