While this end of the year is proving synonymous with street dance season, with 'Into The Hoods' running at the Southbank Centre (16th Dec - 10th Jan) and 'Pied Piper - A Hip-Hop Dance Revolution' at Barbican (10th Dec - 3rd Jan) [not to mention Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity - Ed], dance-dedicated centre, Sadler's Wells will be hosting the premiere run of new street dance show, 'Blaze', from 11th to 28th March.
With the firm intent to bring the hip hop clubbing culture and ethic onto the stage, 'Blaze' will showcase routines by some of the world's best DJs, B-Boys/ breakers and street dancers, choreographed by West End director and choreographer Anthony Van Laast (the man behind 'Mamma Mia!' and 'Sister Act'), with set designs by Es Evin (set designer for the likes of Kanye West and Lady Gaga, or closer to us, Take That, Mika and Pet Shop Boys).
Performances will run Monday to Saturday, at 7.30pm, with Saturday and Sunday matinees, respectively at 2.30pm and 4pm.
Tickets range from £10.00 to £36.00 and are now available to purchase. Group and under 16s discounts apply as well.
