The Human League

Sheffield's steely synth legends, The Human League, have been added to the bill as the headlining Saturday act at next year's Guilfest. They will join Status Quo (though not at the same time, imagine the confusion with all those extra keyboard riffs) who lead the Sunday pack.

As previously announced by Stewart, Guilfest will run from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th July 2010 and is set in the attractive Stoke Park on the edge of the county town of Guildford, Surrey. Further acts will be announced in the weeks to come. But let's have a look at the latest additions....

The Human League will make their first visit to Guildford's open space and will bring a vast catalogue of hits with them, including 'Mirror Man', 'Open Your Heart', 'Louise', Love Action' and their massive single, 'Don't You Want Me?'. Despite line-up changes since their humble beginnings, the band have continued to tour, recently sharing the bill with previous cohorts Heaven 17 and ABC on the Steel City Tour in 2008. The trio consists of Phil Oakey and the two girls, Joanne and Suzanne.

There will be a limited number (2000) of Early Bird tickets to see the Human League on the Saturday, priced at £40 for the day. These will cease once they have all been snapped up OR on Dec 24th, whichever comes soonest. There are also Group Discounts - buy 8 tickets, get one free - and weekend tickets starting at £90.
