Coldplay set to Make a Big Noise for Mencap in Exeter, 19th Dec 2009
Posted: 4th December 2009
If you go down to the castle later this month, you're sure of a big noise surprise. All for charity of course. Exeter's most famous sons of the mild frontier, Coldplay, are due to play a special one-off concert for MENCAP on December 19th at the castle in their home city. Lily Allen and La Roux are expected to join Chris Martin and the boys on the night.
The concert marks Coldplay's first return to the South-West and their spiritual home since 2000 but you will have to be smart to pick up tickets - only 650 tickets will be made available and only by subscription via the Little Noise Sessions website (www.littlenoisesessions.org.uk) on December 8th. Remaining tickets will be sold in HMV Exeter on the 10th and HMV's website on the 11th. All proceeds from the £50 tickets will go to MENCAP.
This event will follow up the highly-successful 'Little Noise Sessions' held at the Islington Union Chapel last month, which saw performances from Richard Hawley and Bombay Bicycle Club.
Don't forget - to be in with a chance of getting tickets, you will need to subscribe via the official website first. Good luck!
