The post-hardcore apocalypse that is Glassjaw will hit four extra UK cities in January 2010. This will be in addition to the sell-out Wembley Arena date supporting Brand New on the 23rd. It is their own headlining tour.
The Long Island quartet, headed by Daryl Palumbo, are set to rock Portsmouth (Wedgewood Rooms - 22nd), Manchester (Academy - 24th), Nottingham (Rock City - 25th) and Glasgow (QMU - 26th). Tickets cost £16.50 plus fees.
As previously reported, the band have been working on new material for some time with Palumbo suggesting that their sound is now 'even more aggressive than they had imagined it would be'. The new product should see the light of day next year but still no release date has been confirmed. Roadrunner (their previous label), have borne the wrath of the intense singer after releasing a redux version of their landmark debut, 'Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence', with Palumbo declaring it 'embarrassing'. I wouldn't be too hard on it lads - it's a pretty gritty piece of work and worth adding to any collection.
