It's been a very long time since James were in a Top Ten listing - Their anthem, 'Sit Down' managed to achieve that honour twice and was their last notable hit in 1998. Now they have announced a top 10 of their own as part of their April 2010 'Mirrorball' Tour that has just been announced.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (Thursday 3rd December) at 9.30am, priced around £29.50 plus fees.

The tour will start in Scotland at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on April 5th and continue to Newcastle (Academy - 6th), Sheffield (O2 Academy - 8th), Preston (Guildhall & charter - 9th), Cambridge (Corn Exchange - 10th), Southend (Cliffs Pavillion - 12th), Bournemouth (O2 Academy - 13th), Bristol (Colston Hall - 15th), London (Royal Albert Hall - 16th) and finally Liverpool (Guild of Students) on the 17th. Now if you feel a bit put out that the boys have missed out Manchester then fret not - the trio will appear as part of the 'Manchester Versus Cancer' charity concert on December 12th at the MEN Arena. They will appear with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for this date only. Tickets are still available for around £32.50.

Back to James, and they will follow-up their last album from 2008, 'Hey Ma', with a pair of mini-albums in the Spring, one of which should be called 'The Night Before'. If you sign up for their mailing list on their website, you can download a free MP3 of new song, 'Not So Strong', likely to be on one of the new releases. No doubt Tim and the boys will air these new recordings at next year's gigs, but they also have a raft of top-notch anthems to reel off as well including, 'Sit Down', 'Come Home', 'She's A Star' and 'Just Like Fred Astaire'.

Better get that alarm clock set for tomorrow, then!
