Following the release of debut album Sigh No More just last month, the folk-pop rockers have announced four dates.

Seeing in the New Year, Mumford & Sons will be appearing at the NYE Party at the HMV Forum in London on, unsurprisingly enough, Thursday 31 December.

Folk often goes at its own pace but anyone who knows anything about it knows those happy folkers know how to have a good time. After their New Year's Eve shindig, the London-based quartet are taking no chances and have scheduled a couple of months' rest before returning for a mini three-date tour starting at the Manchester Academy on Thursday 4 March. A date follows at Newcastle University before the final gig at the Carling Academy, Liverpool on Tuesday 9 March.

'Sigh No More' has been well received with both XFM and Radio 1 bestowing record-of-the-week accolades on debut single Little Lion Man - one suspects that larger venues will follow.
