Time to Place Your Hands on Reformed Reef 2010 Tour Tickets

Posted: 14 years ago

'ALRIGHTA!' - Sorry couldn't resist it, especially knowing that the band who spawned that very expression are to reform and tour for half a dozen special dates next year. Yes folks, Somerset's Reef are back (to quote their website strap-line) and, if the initial reactions of fans on their My Space page is anything to go by, these will be very hot tickets indeed.

Fan-club tickets will be available direct from their own website on Sunday 29th November, a full 48 hours before they 'go public' at 9am on Tuesday 1st December. You will need to register online to be in with a chance of grabbing early-bird tickets.

The super six kick-off in Glasgow at the ABC on 17th April 2010 and continue through to Norwich's UEA on the 18th, the Birmingham Academy on the 20th, Bristol's Academy on the 21st, the Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 23rd and finally ending up in Manchester at the Academy on the 24th. Expect to pay between £17.50 and £20 depending on venue.

This is the first time Reef will have played together since 2003, but if you think the boys have been twiddling their thumbs during that time then you would be very wrong indeed. Singer, Gary Stringer has done a spot of DJing as well as forming the splinter group, Them Is Me with bassist Jack Bessant. If you fancy catching a bit of post-Reef (or pre-Reef now I guess), then they have a few tickets left for the three remaining gigs of Them Is Me's tour. They will play at Manchester's Roadhouse this Friday (27th), the Flapper and Firkin in Birmingham (28th) and lastly at the Mondo Water Rats, London on Dec 4th. Tickets for these are under a tenner!

After this, it will be the return of Reef, bringing their back catalogue of "Place Your Hands", "Yer Old", "Come Back Brighter" and "Naked" back to your expectant little ears. 'ALRIGHTA!' (it's infectious, sorry).
