Those cheeky 'hounds of love', The Futureheads, have announced a special intimate Christmas gig on December 14th . The event takes place at the Lexington venue in Pentonville Road just up from King's Cross, London.

Tickets for those already signed to the band's database will go on sale at 10am on Thursday 26th November with public tickets being made available at 10am on Friday 27th November. Not a bad old price either - £10 (plus fee) for London and for a chart-act is almost unheard of.

The band have also announced a brand new track is available to download from their MySpace page (www.myspace.com/thefutureheads), just to get you in the mood. It's called 'Struck Dumb' and it's rather tasty.

The Futureheads shot to fame with their cover version of Kate Bush's glorious 'Hounds of Love' single but subsequent releases have ensured the band are no one hit wonder. Coupled with top-notch live performances at numerous festivals, the lads have become a real draw at their gigs. The Lexington is what you might call, er, compact and bijou so this will be up-close and very personal.
