Funk Soul Santa - Norman Invades Brighton with Fatboy Slim 2009 Brighton Xmas Party

Fatboy Slim

You could almost set your clock by his gig announcements - yes, shock horror, Norman Cook is playing party-trouper again in his home city, Brighton, this time for Christmas. The chosen venue for the 'Fatboy Slim Christmas Party' (plus friends) is the Coalition club/venue in Kings Road Arches (West of Brighton Pier) on December 23rd.

Tickets will cost £20 plus fee.

Cook will need little introduction to his adoring fans - leaping into dance music after years with chart-topping band, The Housemartins, he has recorded a wealth of funk and disco-flavoured break-beats under numerous pseudonyms including Beats International, Freak Power and more recently as The Brighton Port Authority [BPA]. But it is as Fatboy Slim that he has made his name, both as a recording artist and remixer. He's also a bit of a useful DJ who shows an intense passion for 60s soul and 70s funk during his sets as well as the latest tunes. Who can forget the sell-out Brighton Beach sets during the last decade (not least the residents trying to sleep nearby)?

Now he is back in his spiritual home, spinning the platters with special guests at Coalition so, if you want to see Fatboy Santa empty his bulging sack of funky goodies, you'd better get clicking.
