World AIDS Day Cabaret gets all Glitzy at Madame JoJo's - 30th Nov 2009

Posted: 14 years ago

December 1st is World Aids Day 2009 and in order to continue awareness of the cause, and raise funds for the all-important charity, the Terrence Higgins trust, Madame JoJo's will host a very special one-off cabaret event on Monday 30th November.

Titled the "Red Ribbon Revue", the evening will take you on a journey through musicals and glamour, not to mention a spot of dancing too. Tickets cost £15 in advance plus booking fee.

Performers due to appear include Benny Maslov, Julie Lynn, Chiara Castania and Ildy Minardi in 3 separate shows taking in Gershwin, Disney and other infamous musical composers. Add in extravagant costumes (and wigs!) and you have a glamorous evening for a top cause. The whole thing will be hosted by Sharon Marshall, who frequently appears on ITVs "This Morning" as the 'Soap expert' and has also written the book, "The Naughty Girl's Guide To Life". Joining her will be the enigmatic Polly Fey. The not-at-all-fey Polly is an international model, host at Heaven and has also worked with fashion icons Pierre Et Gilles.

Special guests will also be announced on the night as well as DJ Alex Steed spinning the proverbial decks. All proceeds will go to the Terrence Higgins Trust.
