While still working on their sixth studio album and celebrating the milestone of 15 years together, indie rock quintet Snow Patrol recently released a mix album, as part of the Late Night Tales series, which sees them compile and remix songs by artists who made them want to make music in the first place!

'Late Night Tales: Snow Patrol', available on CD and digital download, features the eclectic likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Captain Beefheart, Terry Callier, The Week That Was , TV on The Radio, Super Furry Animals, among others, as well as a rather pleasing (although nowhere near the original) acoustic cover of INXS' New Sensation, performed by our very own Snow Patrol!

This freaky Friday (13 November), Snow Patrol's frontman Gary Lightbody and keyboardist Tom Simpson, are hosting their untimely (let it be noted that the album was released in September...) album launch party, during which they will hit the decks (which they often do on off-Snow Patrol days) alongside Richard Coburn of Belle & Sebastian.

This is all happening at The Old Queen's Head in Islington, from 6pm to 2am, and cherry on the cake: it's free for all before 8pm, £4 after.
